Reels That Convert
A reel that is widely watched and never acted on is a cost, not a result. Conversion-shaped short video is a different craft from reach-shaped short video, and the difference starts before the first frame is shot.
One video, one action
Every additional thing a reel asks for halves the chance of any of them happening. Decide the single action first — follow, save, click, book — and cut everything that does not lead to it.
Earn the ask
The call to action works when it arrives after the value, not before it. Give the viewer something usable in the first ten seconds and the ask at the end reads as a next step rather than an interruption.

“Reach tells you the hook worked. Only the action tells you the video did.”
Test the hook, not the video
Cut three openings for the same body and run them against each other. It isolates the variable that matters most and costs an afternoon rather than a second shoot.
Signals worth watching
- Watch-through rate, not view count
- Saves, which predict return visits
- Profile taps, which measure curiosity
- The action itself, attributed properly
